Problem with lftp and

I have compiled lftp-4.4.14 and lftp-4.4.8 versions of lftp on Solaris.
put *
put: /software/src/lftp-4.4.14/src/*: No such file or directory

You have to use mput (and mget) command for wildcard expansion.
