Hello,
today I were pointed to this part of the lftp manpage:
"Some ftp servers hide dot-files by default (e.g. .htaccess), and show
them only when LIST command is used with -a option. In such case try to
use `set ftp:list-options -a'."
I found this wget patch which tries to solve this problem:
http://git.savannah.gnu.org/cgit/wget.git/commit/?id=c3835a425a2b441dd741c7edc1684310141fb385
I don't know if the dot file problem occurs often but maybe this
information from wget is helpfull. If not sorry for the noise.;)
Regards
Noel
