(EN below)

Děkuji za záplatu, pane Písaři! KaÅŸdopádně si ale myslím, ÅŸe
"skryté " by bylo lepší neş "tečkové".

Přikládám svoji "mikrozáplatičku", generovanou pomocí git-diff
(doufám ÅŸe správně).

...

Thank you for the patch, Mr. Písař! However, I think that
"skryté" (hidden) is better than "tečkové" (dotty) :)
Attaching my "micro-patch", generated using git-diff (hopefully
correctly)

Thanks,
aL.

I wanted to use hidden too, but then I realized that hiding .* files is only
a unix convention and that it could confuse users of other operating systems,
so I used literal translatation for dotty. Actully, the English text reads
dotty, not hidden. There must be a reason.

We can ask why lftp's author used dotty instead of hidden. Alexander, could
you enlighten us?

"dot file" is a synonym for "hidden file" in UNIX. So it is possible to
translate any way. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dot-file

But in fact "cls -a" only shows "." and ".." entries in addition, probably it
should be fixed. https://plus.google.com/101960720994009339267/posts/R58WgWwN9jp

BTW, "man ls" says about -a option "do not ignore entries starting with ."

The more I think about it the more I incline not to change the translation to
hidden unless the English original text uses also hidden.

Imagine a server runs on a file systems with real support for hidden files
(Netware, FAT, etc.). One could expect that the lftp option retrieves
those files too which is wrong.

I can change `dotty' to more verbose `starts with a dot' in the translation,
but I think using `hidden' is too over-simplifying.

Good point. I did not realize that before.

"starts with a dot" (or some variation of that) seems OK to me.
According to what you mentioned above, "hidden" might be
incorrect, and "dotty" seems too funny and even confusing: I
would rather call "dotty" something that has lot of dots--not
just one.
